And it's my local library!! Lucky me!!

Built in 2009 and designed by the Brewster Hjorth Architects

the library includes a grassed roof that serves as an amphitheatre, a technology centre, digital training rooms, community rooms, community lounge, reading areas and a café and provides work place training opportunities for local young people.

My children and I have visited this library every week for the past 8 years. We have taken part in music groups, story times, holiday activities, Indigenous events and outdoor cinema sessions on the library roof. The indoor outdoor children's section has been carefully designed to appeal to children of all ages and abilities. The warm and friendly atmosphere adds to the experience and makes children want to return.

The library is connected to the old Butter Factory building which has been turned into a local art gallery and pottery barn. These two learning spaces work together to provide the community with numerous shared teaching and learning experiences.

In my opinion this small town of Cooroy presents a state of the art 21st century library - community hub.
